Sitting at the shore of a river in Ukraine, the Forest Cabin is one of m3 Architects most recent and breathtaking project. The cabin was built to be completely autonomous, using only the resources of the wind, sun and earth. In accordance with the concepts of sustainable development, the Forest Cabin is completely sustainable, constructed of wood, clay and modern materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, polyurethane and vacuum insulation.
The cabins heating system is generated using geothermal energy and a modernized system for transferring hot air from the fireplace. With the close proximity to the water, the cabin can generate clean drinking water. All the engineering devices are integrated into one system that can be controlled through a smartphone, and the self-learning climate system enabled an ideal temperature and humidity at all times.
