Lee Wolen's new Somerset restaurant has found its home on the ground floor of the Viceroy in the city's Gold Coast quarter. Designer firm AvroKO have incorporated the space with bold panels of deep marine blue, white piping and brass trims that resemble the halcyon Kennedy era of country clubs and sail boats. Cleveland native, Wolen, has developed an all-day seasonal menu for the restaurant, with dishes of smoked beef tartare with goat gouda and spicy lamb merguez linguini as well as chef Meg Galus' famous butterscotch pudding with coffee Kahlua ice-cream. The design of the restaurant is welcoming and familiar, 1960's style with a gorgeous modern twist. Aside from Chicago's famous deep-dish pizza, this is the place to eat at while visiting the wonderful city.
