Recently unveiled by New York-based Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) is a hotel design for Audemars Piguet. Located in Switzerland, the Hôtel des Horlogers will be embedded into the topography of the Vallée de Joux and built next to the watch manufacturer’s museum. The rendered images of the hotel from BIG show a large complex with five zigzagging volumes and levels of guest rooms. The volumes are connected to one another via a gently sloping exterior path that leads directly to the Audemars Piguet museum and to ski trails in the region.Inside the hotel, sloping corridors help facilitate the circulation of visitors and services. The hotel’s onsite amenities will include two restaurants, a bar, a spa, and a conference centre oriented towards the view of the surrounding valley. The Hôtel des Horlogers is currently still under construction and is rumoured to be open to the public by 2020.
